You're debating my argument by questioning 'facts' that I didn't even mention in my post...
As for the fact that it's working is propaganda, i'll stick with my first example about the human rights act, and the fact that last year naomi campbell won her case at the house of lords that she should enjoy a fundamental right to privacy about the details of her drug addiction; and prisons no longer forcing prisoners to slop out as it is a breach to their basic human rights.
Regarding the end of your post, yeah sure that's what politics is about, vote for what will benefit you the most. But you can't claim the whole country will benefit - Labour and Conservatives look out for different parts of the country, so no matter who gets in power, not everyone will benefit. As far as the Conservatives are concerned Scotlands funding will be getting majorly cut so you can't say the country will all benefit if they get into power.
