I think if there is life on other planets, it wouldn't surprise me at all if it looks somewhat like life on planet earth. Evolution singles out the traits that work and so many things pop up in seperate evolutionary lines. Lungs and eyes are examples of organs that have evolved several times on earth, so it's a reasonable guess that they might evolve on other planets as well.
Extrapolate that to go for other organs and adaptations as well and there you go. Perhaps if life has made it under conditions that are drastically different from here, life will look and behave different, but on an earthlike planet, my bet is it won't.
