My friend says the same thing to me. It bother's me because he thinks he's better than everyone else when saying this cause he thinks his music taste is more superior then anyone elses. It's just people being narrow minded.

Yes and yes. People try to act like there weren't classic rock acts who were just in it for the money and it drives me crazy. They're usually the same people who dismiss any music with electronic elements as crap.
