Just giving this a good listen for the first time in years. Despite being one of his more mellow efforts, it's still as dark and contemplative as anything Nick Cave was writing back then (being wedged between
Tender Prey and
Henry's Dream as it is), and it's definitely one of his best and more overlooked albums. Shame about the rubbish sleeve cover though.
