well i got it after much delay a few days ago, listened to it many times over. Glad it didn't turn out to be all hype. The post-rock tag I find really self-conscious though, it feels like a grunge/punk-informed kind of contemporary progressive rock (contemporary for 1991).

As somebody said it's not something you put on for a quick spin but neither is anything with a snowballing, brooding atmosphere like Spiderland... I can see how influential it must have been, and the weird chords and amazing dissonant guitar playing mark this out from other so-so 'post rock' I've hear (Explosions in the Sky for one was yawnsome)

so yeah positive vote from me. The length of the album is just perfect too, it doesn't outstay it's welcome
