For Urban:
Unrest - Malcolm X Park (1988)

Now what the bloody hell do we have here? First track (the title track) kicks in. An adrenaline filled blast of Punk with ferocious drumming-excellent. Then on track 3 we get a cover of Kiss' 'Strutter' and then by track six we get some Elvis style warblings over a cow punk jangly riff. Only Urban could have supplied this. Guess what though? It works! It's got energy, attitude, a side dose of humour and a D.I.Y asthetic that sound wise perfectly complements the band.
To the casual listener it could be misrepresented as lacking focus, even overambition but that's not the point. It seems to me to be a band that just want to play music that they enjoy. It isn't eclectic for the sake of it. It delights in it's eccentricity. If only they could have dropped the Elvis warblings as I cannot stand the guy! 8.5/10
