if the dampness and moisture from asia was going to affect the build of your guitar it would be warped and messed up upon arrival into north america.
while it's possible for a neck to get warped it's generally due to extreme variations in temperature and/or neglect (not necessarily intentional).
consider how most people move guitars from point A to point B, being left inside a sealed black case inside a sealed trunk. ever sit in a car without a/c in a parking lot on a hot day in july? and that's with the window down... now consider the temperature inside a case inside the trunk... can you say homemade oven?
