From a social perspective if America was to break down into separate territories it would not break down that way. Western Washington would probably Canada or go wherever Oregon and California went, Eastern Washington and Idaho would join the Midwest, The bible belt would be on its own, etc. Just looking at how he thinks the US will break down basically shows he doesn't really understand America as a country at all.
