People making around 30K a year are the ones bearing the brunt of taxes, and they are the ones that are needed to bolster the economy. Economies fail most spectacularly when the middle class is largely abolished, and in giving tax cuts to the very wealthy, it serves only to widen the gap between the very wealthy and the poor, and since the taxes will have to come from somewhere, the middle class will be left to pick up the slack.
