In just four years Lynyrd Skynyrd left their permant mark on Rock, defining Southern Rock specifically. Featuring fantastic, yet underrated, musicians (Collins, Rossington on guitar, Powell on piano) simple and fun songwriting and the underrated lead from Ronnie Van Zant. Great in the studio and absolutely electric on stage, Skynyrd showed that rock is great, fun and doesn't have to take itself too seriously. Gone but not forgotten.
