The Piano is not just good but great but then add the soundtrack and I have that rare event, seamless entertainment that I can watch and listen to time after time. In short the film The Piano should have won an Oscar and in any other year would have but was up against a strong field that included Schindler's List! Be that as it may after all these years I can still play the wonderful soundtrack with piano by Michael Nyman with the Munich Philharmonic from his own score. In short I generally prefer my Classical music minimalist and for me this beautiful album excels in this field. The recurring theme is bewitching.
