Oh and if you forget the lessons of history you are doomed to repeat them,,,the fall of the Soviet Union represented a turning point in the history of our world, and what did the U.S. do with this once in a lifetime chance, tried to create a Pax Americana empire instead of leading the free world into a new era of enlightenment. History will judge this as a complete disaster anyway you look at it. It is too bad for Georgia but they are going to lose this struggle with Russia. I still like Americans but your politicians are the worst in the history of your country, they have dismantled the ability of the middle class to function and transferred millions of jobs to China which uses slave labour to produce the goods you buy at Wal-Mart etc., tell me how this helps the average American in any way. Certainly helps the bottom line of the large companies benefiting from the open trade agreements you have with China. And the Chinese are supporting the government in Sudan which is committing genocide in Darfur as we sit here and exchange ideas online. Follow the money and you follow the U.S. foreign policy...too bad it could have been a better world if there was such a thing as compassionate capitalism. At this time in history we don't have a better option, but the next generation will have to come up with a better alternative than the one that would destroy the whole world to meet a quarterly profit margin projection.
