The film is far from "f
ucking brilliant", it's actually pretty ridiculous at places. Harvey Dent's character arch is so rushed that it's not believable. The characters monologue to explain the story to you because Nolan is not a competent enough director to get points across visually. The film again utilizes Nolan's nothing but boring camera work, many of the extras are just laughably bad and the dialogue is cringeworthy at points. It is also incredibly elementary in its attempts to tackle such themes as post-9/11 society and the moral conundrum Batman finds himself in at the end. It wants the points for exploring these themes, but it addresses them in such a juvenile way that it essentially cheapens them. If this is your idea of "f
ucking brilliance" then you need to see more films.
