Doing a classic song justice is one thing, completely outdoing it is another. Jeff Buckley did this with most of his covers. Even though he wasn't entirely original, not by a long shot, he had a voice that was out of this world. Great vocal range. And the songs he wrote himself on Grace are brilliant no question about it.
