Both reasons (school, and it'd be nice to get out). I haven't listened to your music TONS, but I've checked the myspace once and twice and liked what I heard, so don't feel too down on yourself!
Maybe you just need to expand and find a better area (also a nice plus if I move; to actually find people who wanna make some good tunes). I almost saw you guys a few months back at This Is Ours Fest but I couldn't make it out there.
