Because that part of the forum is there to encourage people to go into more detail than they would in the main forums. If you've spent an hour or two writing a detailed review on something do you really want someone just going in there to insult you?
And he wasn't banned for calling someone dumb , he was banned for repeatedly doing it after he was told to stop on several occasions , and when we started receiving complaints from other members we were left with no choice.
