Hey everyone,
I'm brand-spanking-new to this site, so I thought I would introduce myself. I'm blankpagespeaks, or BPS if you like. I live in a tiny town in Virginia where most people's taste in music consists of either MTV hip-hop or pop-country. It is those circumstances, in fact, that brought me to this forum. I enjoy discussing - as well as writing and playing - music, with others who have a true appreciation for it. Those people, unfortunately, are too few and far between where I live.
Some favorite bands of mine are Pink Floyd, Alice in Chains, Smashing Pumpkins, and Deftones. I can generally find
something I enjoy in every genre, and I love sampling new forms of music. I'm currently on a jazz and classical kick, so for any recommendations in those two genres, I'm all ears.
I'm a singer-lyricist, and a novice guitar player.
Other interests include writing (in all its forms), reading, fitness, films, and the production side of music.
I hope to meet other like-minded users, and expand my appreciation of the amazing form of expression we call music.
