The point is not sales. And thats where we are failing.
When iPod does new music, it helps new artists. Who really knew "flathead" before that? When American Idol covers a song so that they can use it in a Ford commercial and sell SUV's, it doesn't help a god damn person.
Especially when you consider its a song from, what 1996/7? And its not like most folks havn't heard it. They still play it here inexplicably.
"you get to be a billionaire too" plays well with **** bands who are in it for the money, not for people who like to make music. Its not even cake preforming it.
