Yes - I have rediscovered punk since I was listening to 60's & 70's rock & metal at the time. Not until I was in high school did I start becoming interested in punk / underground - by then it was too late.

I'm interested in various eras -

late 70's UK punk including Stiff Little Fingers, Buzz****s, Wire & the obvious - Clash.

early 80's US punk including Mission of Burma, Minutemen, Black Flag (pre-My War), & Minor Threat. Not to mention other SST bands like Husker Du & Meat Puppets as well as those influenced by SST like Replacements, Sonic Youth & Dinosaur Jr.

What was great about the early 80's US punk scene, was that it incorporated non-punk bands like Sonic Youth & Dinosaur Jr. as well as bands that evolved away from their punk beginnings as Meat Puppets, Replacements & Husker Du did. Punk & underground were synonymous, most of the well known 80's college rock bands had either opened or performed with punk bands in the early 80's.
