I misinterpreted what you meant by senseless, so yeah that's fair. The White Stripes maybe creative but they're not original, which does count for something.

I'm going to assume Nirvana/Pearl Jams rip offs aren't commonly played on the radio in other places. That being said I doubt the Stripes are the sole cause for bands like Creed disappearing. Popular rock has just changed as it always does, it would've happened with or without the stripes. Paramore or Interpol replaced Creed, just like someones going to replace Paramore or Interpol in a few years.
