You know that my point still stands, even if they aren't your
very favourite band. Regardless, you decided that I insinuated Maiden was superior for having one more guitarist. That seems like you're afraid that someone might have insulted Metallica, because I see no grounds for your assumption at all, especially given that I explained my point.
And you MUST be joking about Metallica having no fanboys, although I suppose that depends on your definition of fanboy. As far as I'm concerned, if you can't be impartial in relation to your favourite band and you feel angry when someone doesn't like them, you're probably a fanboy. If your 5 favourite singers, 5 favourite guitarists and 5 favourite bassists are all members of your 5 favourite bands, chances are that you aren't very impartial in judging musicians and you are a fanboy.
There are plenty of those types of fanboys. And if your definition of fanboy is someone who is always in a shirt of their favourite bands, draws their logo everywhere, collects memorabilia etc... well there are ample teenagers who etch Metallica logos into school desks.

Regardless, maybe people write a one liner about one band being better than the other because they prefer that band? I can't see anything wrong with that.
Sure some people are going to slag Metallica off and say that they sold out therefore Maiden is better or something along those lines. But my point still stands. Let's imagine that those people didn't care about the 'selling out' side of it. It's still not going to suddenly make them like Metallica's new stuff. Even if someone who hates Metallica's new stuff doesn't think they sold out, it still doesn't defeat the fact that they hate half of the material that Metallica has released and would judge them less positively because of that material. Therefore, despite people complaining about Metallica selling out, I really don't think it is the deciding factor here.

It seemed like you lost control in that rant, which is why I asked what the hell that was about? Especially in the bit where you started abusing the fictitional LoG fan you made up. And I wasn't sure about the last bit (make this more METAL bit) - it seemed like you were turning a Metallica vs Maiden thread into a LoG complaint section.
And the disillusioned part... well for one, I'd say that LoG fans are more likely to hate Maiden than Metallica, seeing as Maiden is a 'pussy' band which isn't angry. But that's open to opinion - regardless, where did you get this idea that all LoG fans hate Metallica? Basically underneath the 'humour' and the happy masquerade, it seemed like you had some angry things inside you to let out.

Lack of humour? I assure you, I love comedy but I haven't seen anything from you here that's worth laughing at. If you're talking about the bits about the succubus etc, I knew you were joking up to a point (well I certainly hope you were). It wasn't particularly funny and seemed rather contrived, but I decided you were joking. Therefore I recognised humour... or at least an attempt at humour.

Where have I pretended "you're out to get me"? I'm merely discussing music on a music forum if that's a crime.
Having mod skills is one part of being a mod. The other part is simply being a good forum poster - being able to discuss/argue effectively and (in the case of a music forum), being as impartial as possible.
How am I threatening logic? My arguments are perfectly logical. Self-righteous cry babies and gotcha lines? It sounds like you're becoming rather defensive here. Given your above assumption about my 'insinuation', I'd say you're the one who lacks cool logic.
