No, Mastodon has an awful vocalist, he can't sing. His "scream" if you can call it that is terribly generic and sounds like tons of other metal vocalists i've heard and the lyrics? "The hero of the gods the crossing of the threshold the Belly of the wale refusal of Return" I think the awfulness of that speaks for itself.

Theres nothing special about this band, I don't think their drummer is nearly as good as other drummers in this same genre. I mean this dude can't even touch Joey Jordison and according to metalheads he sucks right?
