I think it's just convenient to have a short album, and there's nothing wrong with it, like the stroke's first two albums which were about 30 minutes each. they're still pretty damn good albums, especially is this it?.

another thought: i think a band that has variety in their sound shows some real genius. QOTSA and The Desert Sessions.. all their albums have such different sounding tracks in each album. there's NO WAY you can say you don't like any of their songs if you don't listen to the whole album. Devendra Banhart as well. Everything from classic psychedelic rock and roll to samba and other latin influenced genres, as well as the originally simple folk tracks her has.
