Somber male/female vocal duets coupled with cliche but always honest lyrics and a melancholic sound. When Carissa's Wierd came out they were very unique and by Songs About Leaving they'd established themselves as a creative force in the northwest indie scene. However in 2003 they broke up, leaving behind an all too short discography. Members went on to form Band of Horses, Grand Archives, S and Sera Cahoone.

This stuff is really great, I think I've listened through it about three times in a row now. The duel vocals are very pretty. All Apologies.... is probably the best song of the seven, the music is really simple, but fitting, and it's just a lovely song. Thanks for sharing this with us.
