Richard Ashcroft is obviously a talented man but he gets the personality bit so wrong.
I saw him last year and he spent half of his set talking about politics. The best part was when he said 'music and politics should never mix' but didn't take his own advice...

His solo stuff hasn't been
too bad (I liked Music Is Power) but he's nothing without The Verve.
