well, I think they're good and I must admit I like their older albums better in terms of music but American Idiot I thought was amazing especially for their first opera.
They may not be punk or whatever but, its not really like they're calling themselves that *cough cough Avril* and I think just because they're doing well doesn't make them not punk. I'm not fighting about genres though. And yeah their songs do sound a bit the same but if you like that one song then you're set and... the songs are pretty catchy. So yep... there I'm done.
