As a long time AILD fan...I kinda feel strange saying this because of the dissimilarities between the new album and their older stuff, but I actually think that "An Ocean Between Us" is a pretty strong release for them. They broke the trend of writing 10 or 11 songs that sound the same, and a widened spectrum of influences is made apparent far more on this album than on their last album. I'll admit though, the new album lacks the hooks that I think attract most of their older fans.


I agree with APS though, Frail Words for the win.
