Maybe you're using hyperbole, if not you're just wrong. Every similar list excludes Rakim and has both Nirvana and The Allmans held in High Regard. Also if you asked 100 people on the street 90% would rank both the Allmans and Nrivana way above Rakim.

I'll give you this, if you're asking who is more important to their genre it's Rakim hands down, but Rap music is barley a blip on the radar of Music history at this point.

Listen I love KRS-One and Blackstar. Mos Def and Kweli are some of my top 10 favs but lets be real about Rap Music's impact. Of the over 100 people I've asked about this list you're the only one to make any type of Rakim argument.
