Well correct me if I'm wrong but he was saying that people say "they sound like nickleback" because we're inundated with that sound, so people hearing Nevermind after Nickleback would make that assumption.
I don't know if its laughable so much as it is accurate.

Not really. I can't imagine you find it illogical that people have dissenting opinions to over hyped bull****. And classic rock? I think it well beyond that. And come on, that velvet underground review was incredibly accurate.
