If you like or dislike a band then that is subjective, I know it's old, but I wont stop repeating it until you get it, if you don't like prog I could care less, but if you're telling me a band I like dosen't make good music because they're not balling all the time about how their parents wouldn't allow them to do everything they wanted, then I'm f*cking sorry, I'm going to call you out on it.

Hahaha, so just because it isn't prog its a "half written half performed punk rock anthem with badly out of tuned guitars"?

Ok I confess, that was a little jab at The Fall.

Christ, music doesn't have to be shitty to have passion. You're basically making stupid generalizations, though it shouldn't be shocking by now. I'd consider Patrick Wolf very passionate yet hes still classically trained and ridiculously talented, same with Piglet, Yo La Tengo, Modest Mouse, etc.

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

LOL@bolded part, I don't feel like dragging up quotes but the amount of times you've gone around saying indie sucks, I think you're the biggest hypocrite here.

1. Indie is not a genre, that very statement has been driven into the ground, but unfortunately for you and your lousy excuse of a rebuttal, it's true. Unlike an actual genre, which is a category to define bands by a certain style and or origin, Indie is but a stupid/useless label used to promote Pitchforkmedia.com t-shirts, and nothing else.
2. Know the differences between genres and trends, I don't like to diss genres (I used to diss metal just to piss metalheads off, but I actually do like a lot of metal), trends however I am not at all above making fun of. While I do understand that genres are usually accompanied by trends, in this case the Indie trend (and it is a trend regardless of what you say) has no actual genre of music accompanying it, it's all Image.

No, lecturing other people about what music should and shouldn't be is.
I've never said all music should be 12 minute epics with synthesizer guitar solos by Adrian Belew, wise up.
Not at all. If a robot can emulate Paganini, it can emulate anything, it should have no problem playing pop/rock music that anyone on earth can pick up on quickly.

I think the Ramones are a better band then any prog band i've heard. Are they "technically better?" Nope, I think you're the one using shitty analogies now.

Who makes better music is subjective, if you want me to stop using this repetitive phrase, you can start by not making an issue about this band vs that band based on their musical quality, that alone forces me to address this no matter how many times I have said it, because at some point you're gonna have to stop shrugging off what I say and actually think about it for a minute. I don't like to compare prog and punk since I love both, thing is I don't compare KC to a bunch of punk bands and say they are better then them, sure I may say they are more talented instrumentalists, but thats just stating a fact, I think you're just looking for a fight.

I know music theory and do extremely well in it and I still think technical music sucks.

And me dissing Indie is closed minded.
You know how many genres of music there are where technical skill is important? You're covering a lot of ground here, and you're gonna mouth off at me for poking fun at a nonexistent genre? I can't believe you.
