perhaps i didn't make one part clear, which is to find out if what i read about these bands and satanism is true. because i know these things can often be fabricated and blown out of proportion.
if you've talked to enough people in life, you'd know that "my beliefs" doesn't always imply a religion. i'm not comfortable with satanism and some of the dark practices that go along with it. that's all. i didn't bring my own religion into this, but everyone just went out on a limb and assumed i'm christian.
and what am i "whining" about here? i didn't just say "oh woe is me! there are satanic bands and i can't listen to them!". what i was saying was "i think some of these bands are satanic. i don't particularly agree with that (note this is devoid of a religion, or an accusation of all rock being satanic. just to make it easier for you to break down). is what i've read correct? are there other bands that are more neutral that have a similar sound?" yet somehow you've managed to get all pissed off and blow this out of proportion.

Usually people "uncomfortable" with "satanic" music are christian. Are you or not? THat's not the point though. The point is why are you so worried about a few "satanic"...if you could even call them that....references in music? It's just music.
