I always liked the Stones music more because it was primitive, in the sense that it used rhythms much more so than the Beatles, making their tunes rock harder with wicked beats. Also, their level of musicianship far exceeded that of John, Paul, George and Ringo. But, if I was more into pop music, the Beatles are hands down winners. Finally, there were moments during ABBEY ROAD and the WHITE ALBUM, where the Fab 4 rocked out, and it would have been interestesting what they may have done in the 70's if they'd stayed together...but we'll never know so the the crown must go to the Stones.
