If they were REALLY anti major-label, they would've gone independent freakin' YEARS ago.

People have gotta get this "aren't interested in the money" idealism out of their heads (as if trying to make money out of a product is somehow wrong)! Of COURSE they're trying to make money. It's their JOB, for heaven's sake! And their ONLY one.

On top of that, you should also come to terms with their whole anti-media and anti-label thing really being part of a larger gimmick. It's to add an air of authenticity to them. It's all clever marketing at the end of the day.
