All you youngsters amuse me - Bob was and is a true legend - he started recording in 1962 - he just didn't get hugely popular until the mid 70's. Not taking anything from Jimmy Cliff - he really brought the reggae scene to light with the release of the movie "The Harder They Come" and has been a prolific artist worthy of great respect.
If you want to expand your horizons a little - try Third World, Lucky Dube, Beres Hammond, Dennis Brown, Sly & Robbie..... I could go on and on - these are all roots artists (meaning not the dancehall crap that's popular now) that play old school reggae - Sly & Robbie were and still are one of the premier rhythm sections in any genre of music - they were the foundation for literally hundreds of outstanding reggae records over the last 30 years........
