yeah for canadians its pretty much just a holiday about being thankful, and mainly just about being with family and making time to spend together. it really has no cultural roots for us, since it was pretty much just taken from american tradition, but we've morphed it into a LOT quieter of a holiday, that and we have it in october. but then i had indian food on my thanksgiving, my parents wired money into my account so i could actually eat at a nice restaurant since i was missing thanksgiving dinner at home.
