When you want someone, you need to somewhat "perform" for them, attract their attention. In short, "beautify" to get their attention. Once you accept the fact you need to change, use makeup, dress better, then you will be happy. You wont be happy if you continue being overlooked and still look homeless. It feels better to look in the mirror with makeup, hair done and some tighter clothes on and go "damn I look good tonight."
I wouldn't completely agree with that, but I think she's making a good point, which is that:

- For somebody to become interested in you, you need to attract somebody's attention in the first place... whether you want to get to know them better or just have a fling.

Furthermore, I'd like to make two points (to Ensemble and those like her):
- Your clothes are NOT you. If you define yourself by wearing baggy clothes then personally I find it ridiculous. Clothes should be seen as a tool. Its cold, you wear warm clothes. Its wet and muddy, you wear a raincoat and wellies. Your playing sport, you wear sports clothes. And if you want to attract a man's attention and spark his interest in you, you wear sexy clothes. Baggy clothes aren't really any more comfortable than fitted clothes. In fact, they can be quite dangerous if you catch them on things.
- If you intend to wear the same clothes all of your life because that's what you're most comfortable with, then that also is ridiculous. If you have such a narrow comfort zone that you have to cling to a certain style of clothing like a baby clinging to its comfort blanket or teddy then I'd worry that you might end up having a very boring life. Probably one which involves a lot of daytime TV and oven-ready food.

And don't forget to stand up straight. Slouching don't make you cool, fool.
