Apparently there's a new Hong Kong airline opening which'll have return tickets for under £200 (to Hong Kong). Capitalism's slowly creeping in and with it cheaper flights... so soon you might be able to go to Tibet instead of the Alps or Pyrenees, for example, and all told it should work out cheaper (accomodation and food costing a lot less in China).
