3 years ago, for a couple of years I used to smoke pot/weed with TWO of my freinds a half 'q' a day.. and I'd keep a pinner for myself for the morning or afternoon hot box or whatever. I smoked weed every single day for liek 2 years and also smoked during this time aswell..

I quit smoking weed 3 years ago because I got into a relationship and I don't like to be stoned throughout important parts of my life... and because I have depression and weed just covers it, and doesn't fix it.. and I didn't want to get dependent on it... and one day my friends went to pass it to me and I said no and after that I didn't smoke it again till last summer when I started partying and drinking every friday and saturday night.

I have friends that would never ever beable to give up smoking weed, and some smoke it pure and others smoke it with tabaco, and yea I do believe that maybe its just the cigs in the weed there addicted too but then again maybe not. these friends have tried quiting and always end up going back to it time and time again
I never stated any of my theories. Just facts supported by scientific research.

I wasn't aware that for the past seven years people have been saying that food is addictive. And as for the reason why there are so manyf at people in the world: how about diet and exercise. If you over eat and hardly ever exercise you're gonna gain weight. If your food intake is greater than the amount of you fat and carb out put, you're gonna gain weight. If you eat a well balanced meal and and exercise, you're gonna be of an appropiate weight for your height.
And now to tackle the bigger issues of this topic. If you live in the US (the fat capital of the world) chances are you're obese because you eat at one of those fast food joints every day for just abut eevry meal. Or like some Americans, you're just lazy.
There aren't too many overweight Asians in the world (by choice) and the majority that are overweight are also smokers. Although this tends to be the case for most Japanese, and not necessarily all other Asians.

The only reason I bothered to respond to this is because you had at least one valid question. Otherwise I wouldn't have responded sicne you also stated that you are depressed. ANd in response to that alone, I could've disregarded your entire post and attributed your statements as bs because of your frame of mind. Next time you want to make a valid arguement you shouldn't say something like that unless it is to your advantage. In this case it wasn't.
And the fact is I said weed wasn't addictive and you proved my point by saying you stopped using when you met your boyfriend. If you really were addicted to pot you wouldn't have been able to quit.
The fact that you used to do it so often doesn't really mean anything. If I wanted I could say your use of pot can be attributed to your depression. You were depressed, possibly suicidal, you turned to drugs. You're not any different from too many other people in the world.

I don't know your friends so i could care elss about you less about your friends. If they want to quit, they can. If they like being stoned, that's great too, although the sex isn't quite the same, but hey whatever floats their boat.
Although the fact that they want to stop using weed but still do doesn't necessarily mean that they're addictive. Look at the situation you were in. Maybe they need the right incentive to stop. Most people turn to drugs because it satisfies something they crave in the real world that they just don't have. This is inlcuding but not limited to weed or cigarette smoking)
(This would be addiction, just not physical addiction)
