Some weird animals or animal parts:

The weirdest thing I ever ate though was green jelly-like thing I was given by a toothless old lady at a wedding in Jakarta. It was about the size of my hand and I was told to put it all in my mouth, which I did and then couldn't figure out what to do with it next. It didn't dissolve, it couldn't be chewed, it didn't respond well to being squeezed by the insides of my cheeks... so eventually I had to spit it out. I set about it with a knife and still couldn't make any mark on it, so eventually I waited until the old woman had gone and ran away.
