Here is a littlebit more information about differences of Lordi and GWAR

Lordi is anything but a typical Finnish band. Clearly Gwar is a major influence visually, as they've got those larger-than-life monster costumes going for them. On the other hand, musically they are somewhat in the darker hard rock world, reminiscient of W.A.S.P. with a dash of early White Zombie...
