Exactly.
Nick Mason for example is one of my favorite drummers, technically he's not great at all, my brother could play anything he can, however he's the best drummer Pink Floyd could ever have... Imagine if Neil Peart did the drum intro to
Time instead, he would have made it much more technical, it would have sounded so overblown, it would throw the subtle magic of that song off center and ruin everything, it wouldn't be Pink Floyd.
