Authorities gave Gibbs (bassist Alvin Gibbs) two reasons for the detainment: One was that he had an incorrect visa and the other they wouldn’t disclose.
As I said before, it's tough to wade through opinions with fringe news sources. I found the above quote in several articles so give it whatever credibility you want.
I also found that vocalist Charlie Harper gained entry and performed at a weekend festival backed by session musicians. Obviously, Charlie wasn't bothered enough to cancel the performance.
