Learning. I just realized I didn't know that much about the 2012 Summer Olympics, so I started looking into it:
The 2012 Summer Olympics were an international multi-sport event held from July 27 to August 12 in London, England. The name of the opening ceremony, "Isles of Wonder", was inspired by a quote from "The Tempest". The Olympics bell was inscribed with Caliban's speech from the same Shakespeare play.
It was not without some controversy as the North Korean football team walked off the pitch in protest at seeing the South Korean flag displayed by their names and refused to warm up whilst it was there. Their game against Colombia was delayed for over an hour until it was rectified. An apology was issued for this, but had to be reissued for not using the Koreas' officially recognized titles.
