My default mood when taking about trans issues is to take this stuff seriously, it’s hard to help that after spending the past few years being exposed to and subjected to all manner of horrible transphobic verbal attacks. Not that you’re doing that, but any sort of trans discourse just puts me a bit on edge these days.

It’s not something I feel comfortable not taking seriously. Maybe that’s a flaw of mine.
