Oh, right! The Last Exit To Brooklyn guy! That book caused such a scandal when it came out. A friend of mine enthusiastically lent me his copy, but alas I have no memory at all of reading it.
Requiem For A Dream sounds interesting thanks for the rec. I have some of the Kronos soundtrack in a compu file, and that is pretty sombre too.
