No it's not that I was keeping count (I can count up to two - YAY!) but the first time I saw it I wondered if you had misspelled something, but couldn't figure what that word would be, and then when you used it now, a second time, I knew it was deliberate. Probably goes back to Dickens' time, I'll be bound!
