Default Joywave

A little shocked I hadn't made a thread yet. Upstate New York group with a heavy electronic element to their tunes. The wiki bio reads as follows:

Quote:
Joywave is an American indie rock band from Rochester, New York, formed in 2010. Their lineup consists of Daniel Armbruster (vocals), Joseph Morinelli (guitar), and Paul Brenner (drums).[1] The band first became known for its collaboration with electronic music project Big Data, "Dangerous", which peaked at number one on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart in 2014. After releasing two EPs, their debut album, How Do You Feel Now?, was released through their own Cultco Music label, an imprint of Hollywood Records, in 2015. Their second album, Content, was released on July 28, 2017. It was followed by their third album, Possession, which was released on March 13, 2020. Their fourth album, Cleanse, was released on February 11, 2022.
I was lucky enough to see them back in 2017 at a smaller venue here in Boston. It was a lot of fun. The songs I'd suggest you try first:

1. Destruction
2. Compromise
3. It's a Trip
4. Dangerous
5. Now

Haven't had a chance to look up the new album but the top three streams there are:

1.Every Window is a Mirror
2. After Coffee
3. Buy American

I'm listening to it now, and I like it but I haven't really sat with it yet.
