Music Banter - View Single Post - Help finding source of music used in video game Civilization V

I dont think that the other parts are original pieces by the composer, except maybe just some interlude's between the pieces. Them being original pieces would differ greatly from the pattern of what I think almost all themes in the game are composed of other previous works from all over the world.

I can also detect the melody for the german national anthem in some parts of the theme, but other then that can't put my finger on which other melodies are used other then Ode To Joy.

I may also remember wrong, but I think I also somewhere have heard the specific melody I am looking for from somewhere else, but I can't remember where.

It was my hope somebody would recognize the specific piece and be able to give me it's origins.
