Alright the last couple times I've been tanked I've also been obsessed with watching the first Highlander movie, which reignited the minor Highlander obsession I had in the 90s and now I'm trying to get back into the TV series.
Honestly, after the first epsiode, some of my fears of the abject corniness I knew would happen have been exacerbated cause god damn was that first villain the cheesiest thing ever, but even though the acting can be soapy as **** when the emotions get high the actual dramatic writing and character development shows some legit promise and care.
I'm cautiously optimistic that this goofy show can be a diamond in the 90s rough and make me absolutely stoked for the announced Highlander reboot that may or may not ever materialize.
