I got out to play one of my favorite courses yesterday. It was a best shot doubles match with 8 people/4 teams. I was hitting my lines and putts and came through with a win, but I pulled one too tight on the 17th hole and my disc went into some thick brush. It was getting dark and we looked for a few minutes but I didn't want to leave it lost because it was my oldest and most used disc. I had rescued this thing multiple times over the years after errant throws, and even went back for it in Nebraska when I lost it on my vacation to Colorado. This disc is very special to me. I couldn't sleep last night thinking about it. I was resolved to go to work this morning and leave as early as I could to go back and look for it, hoping no random player would find it before I did. I even put up a post about it last night on a Lost Disc FB page to at least create some awareness. That was the plan, then this morning this happened:
